Foundation

The training

You will learn the principles of Yin Yoga safely and effectively, building a solid foundation by mastering the fundamentals, choosing and aligning poses across different themes, and exploring the role of meridians and their energetic impact.

As part of the immersion, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how Yin Yoga supports the nervous system: how long-held poses, slow mindful breathing and stillness invite the parasympathetic response and help regulate over-activation of the sympathetic system.

Whether you’re aiming to become a teacher or feel drawn to explore stillness and deepen your connection to your own body, this training is for you. You will receive a 50h Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Certificate after successful completion.

Place

Oakstone Hills,
Portugal

Nestled in central Portugal, roughly 90 minutes south of Porto, Oakstone Hills sits within the Dão region — surrounded by rolling vineyards, olive groves, cork oaks and pine trees, with wide views across the valley.

Inside the restored stone house, individually designed rooms offer privacy and calm, all with private bathrooms. The half-open yoga shala overlooks the valley and is fully equipped for focused, well-supported practice.

Questions & answers

Do I need to be a Yoga teacher to join?

No, this training is open for teachers and practitioners too. However, I recommend having a dedicated self-practice for Yin, so there is some practical experience before diving into the theory.

What’s included, what’s not?

Accommodation and meals, as well as all Yoga props, the script and certificate are included. Any travel costs and visa need to be taken care of separately by the student.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, I do offer installment plans — please reach out to me and we’ll make it work.

How do I get there?

Porto airport is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes away by car; Lisbon airport approximately 2 hours 40 minutes. Rental cars, an additional-cost shuttle and direct train connections to Nelas are available. A pickup from Nelas can be arranged.

Is there a shuttle service from the airport?

Yes. A shuttle service from Porto or Lisbon Airport is available at an additional cost per person. Group journeys are coordinated where possible.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 12:00 and check-out is until 13:00. The welcoming circle begins on Monday at 16:00 and the training finishes on Sunday after breakfast.

Can I arrive earlier or stay for longer?

Current source information lists additional capacity from 19–29 September 2026. Additional-night rates are €150 per person for a private single room and €120 per person for a double room. Reconfirm availability before making travel plans.
